Certification & Accreditations
Certified management systems, industry membership, prequalification schemes and registration-numbered laboratory accreditations. Everything here is listed with the body that issued it and, where one exists, the number you can verify it against.
Certified, Accredited — Not the Same Thing
ISO 9001 certifies how a business is run. An independent certification body audits the management system behind the work. It is a strong signal of consistency, and it is what most procurement processes ask for.
ISO/IEC 17025 accredits the technical validity of the result itself. A national accreditation body assesses competence against a defined schedule of methods, and issues a registration number you can look up. That is a different and narrower claim.
Both matter, and they are not interchangeable — a supplier offering one where your specification calls for the other has not met it. So this page keeps them in separate sections rather than mixing everything into one wall of logos.
Accreditation is scope-limited
No accreditation covers everything a business does. Each applies to a defined schedule of activities — specific test methods, materials or inspection types assessed by the accreditation body.
If your specification requires an accredited result for a particular test, tell us which standard and which test before work starts. We will confirm in writing whether it falls inside the relevant scope.
It takes minutes, and it avoids the far worse outcome further down the line: a completed report you cannot actually use.
Certifications & Memberships
Thirteen certifications, memberships and prequalification registrations, in three families — because they prove three different things. Management systems say how the business is run; industry standards say what the work is built to; prequalification schemes say we have already been audited against the checks most buyers run anyway.
INAB Accreditations & Registration Numbers
INAB is Ireland’s national accreditation body. An INAB accreditation means an independent assessor has verified technical competence against a defined scope — not merely that a quality manual exists. Each registration number below can be verified independently.
ISO/IEC 17025
Accredited Testing Laboratory
ISO/IEC 17020
Type A inspection body accredited for weld procedure qualification (WPQR) — approval of permanent joining (welding) procedures, including under the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU
ISO/IEC 17024
Certification of Persons — Welders & Plastics Welders
RTPO
Recognised Third-Party Organisation under the Pressure Equipment Directive, appointed by the Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation
Metlab management systems
Certified by Centre for Assessment, the same certification body used across the group.
Manufacturer Approvals
An engineered height safety system is only certified if it is installed to the system designer’s specification by an installer the manufacturer recognises — which makes these approvals matter more here than in most trades.
Need a Certificate or a Scope Confirmed?
If your specification calls for a particular standard, tell us which one and which test before work starts. We will confirm in writing whether it falls inside the relevant scope, and send the certificate.
