Reference Copies, Not Legal Advice
These documents are provided as a convenience. Three things are worth knowing before you use them to make a decision.
Check you have the current version
Legislation is amended. S.I. No. 2 of 2020 amends the 2007 regulations above — which is exactly the point. Always confirm against the enforcing authority before relying on a downloaded copy.
Guidance is not the law
Documents marked Official Guidance explain the regulations and are published by HSE or the HSA; they are not the statutory text. Those marked Regulations are the statutory instruments themselves.
Your duties depend on your equipment
Examination intervals and duties vary by equipment type, duty cycle and environment. Ask us and an inspector will confirm the correct regime for each asset at survey, in writing.
We Read These So You Do Not Have To
Working out which regulations bite on which asset, in which jurisdiction, is most of the job. Tell us what you operate and where, and we will scope the statutory examinations you actually need.
