- Sheaves and diverters
- Associated drive system components (shafts, couplings, bearings)
- Suitable for legacy and modern lift systems across commercial and industrial environments
Our Process
- Initial Assessment & Strip Down – Dismantling of components and detailed inspection for mechanical and electrical defects
- Dimensional & Condition Inspection – Checks for concentricity, ovality, straightness, crack detection, and wear analysis
- Repair & Refurbishment – Replacement or machining of worn components and motor rewinding (outsourced) and mechanical restoration
- Reassembly & Calibration – Rebuilding with new bearings and components and adjustment of backlash, end float, and brake air gaps to manufacturer specifications
- Testing & Verification – Functional testing (electrical and mechanical performance), monitoring of voltage, current, vibration, and temperature and SAFed supplementary testing (where applicable, e.g. overspeed governors)
- Installation & Alignment (if required) – On-site fitting, laser alignment, and commissioning
- Documentation & Handover – Full written reports confirming performance and compliance with specification
Certifications & Standards
- EN 81 (overspeed governor classification)
- SAFed Section 4.6 supplementary testing
- Manufacturer-specific tolerances and specifications (e.g. brake air gap settings, backlash limits)

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does lift refurbishment take?
Turnaround times depend on the component and extent of damage, but rapid refurbishment is prioritised through established repair workshop partnerships to minimise lift downtime.
Can you refurbish older or obsolete lift components?
Yes. Repair and refurbishment can be carried out on a wide range of equipment types and ages, including legacy systems, with custom parts manufactured where required.
Are refurbished components tested before reinstallation?
Yes. All refurbished components undergo mechanical and/or electrical testing, with performance metrics such as vibration, temperature, and electrical load recorded and verified.
When should lift brakes be refurbished?
Brake refurbishment is required when wear, incorrect air gaps, contamination, or performance issues such as dragging or delayed release are identified during inspection.
