WH SCOTT
EX ATEX Radio Remote Control Systems
Explosion-proof wireless control systems for industrial equipment operating in hazardous and potentially explosive environments.
Overview
The EX ATEX Autec radio remote control systems are designed for safe wireless control in environments where there is a risk of explosion. Built on AUTEC’s Air Series technology, the system combines certified explosion-proof design with high functional safety performance, making it suitable for industrial applications that must operate reliably in hazardous areas. The range includes joystick models such as: AJQ Ex, AJN Ex, AJE Ex and pushbuttons such as LK NEO 8 Ex, LK NEO 12 Ex.
These systems comply with both the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU and the IECEx certification scheme, covering applications in Zone 1/21 and Zone 2/22. The STOP function benefits from the proven safety architecture of the Air Series, with TÜV Rheinland certification up to PL e in accordance with EN ISO 13849-1 and SIL 3 in accordance with EN IEC 62061.
WH Scott supplies EX radio remotes for use in high-risk operating environments including petrochemical, chemicals, pharmaceutical, marine and offshore, and other heavy industrial applications where hazardous area compliance is essential. The system offers configurable transmitter options and flexible receiver arrangements to suit both certified enclosures and installations where receivers are positioned outside the explosion-risk zone.
